I have started this lovely design to stitch more than a year ago, then I put aside and let waiting for the finish. I got my stitching mojo back so I finished.

Pár napja elkezdtem egy régebben festett merino rovingot fonni, azon a szuper kis kéziorsón, amit Kurucz Marcsi férje készített. Remekül pörög, igazi élmény fonni vele :) És végre, sikerül igazán nagyon vékonyra is fonjak, nem úgy, mint az első fonományom, ami ugyan előszálból van, ennél sokkal vaskosabb lesz.
Majd ha elkézül, mutatom azt, most pedig ezt a frisset :)

I have started spinning my firstly dyed merino roving top few days ago. The spindle was made by Marcsi Kurucz's husband, and it's a pleasure to spun with it :) Thanks Marcsi!
I'm happy I can spin this roving really thin, not like the very first one I spin, and that will be shown later. Now here is the new one :)

Progress...

A napokban kezdtem ezt a mintát, a színeket illetően inspirációm volt, mégpedig Danielle csodás munkája. Hasonló árnyalatokat válogattam hát saját színeimből. A legnagyobb motívum pedig selyemmel készül.

I started this design in last few days, enjoy stitching again... I got inspiration by seeing Danielle's wonderful box. I also chose my colours, and stitch the main letter N with silk.

My new floss box

Elkészült végre a teljes befejezése a SAL mintámnak. Előre leszögezem, közel sem lett tökéletes, régen építettem már dobozt, és... ebben is gyakorlat tenné a mestert, de én ugye nem vagyok az :) Ettől függetlenül nagyon tetszik, és ezentúl ebben laknak majd a fonalkáim.

I have finally finished my SAL piece, after the stitching work here is my new floss box! I know it has more mistakes, I'm not professional doing cartonnage. I think I should practice more :) I love it, this is the new home for my flosses.

A dobozt tehát én "építettem", használtam hozzá habkartont és szürkelemezt, rengeteg ragasztóanyagot (fóliát is, folyékonyat is), patchwork anyagokat, saját festett csipkét, és bolti zsinórokat. Méretes darab, 57*21cm a teteje, és 18-19 cm magas az egész.

So, this is my "built" cartonnage box, I have used cardboard, foam board, a lot of glue (film and liquid), patchwork textiles, cordings, and my hand dyed lace. 

Not a small box is this, 57*21 cm its top, and 18-19cm tall the whole box.

Befejeztem :) A hímzés részét. Merthogy van még vele munka :)

Doboznak álmodtam meg, illetve doboz tetejére fogom tenni, a dobozt pedig én "építem", azaz kartonázsolom. Remélem, hamarosan lesz rá időm, ez legalább 2 napos meló lesz.

Finished! Stitching finished - I still have some working hours with it. I will make a box with 

technic "cartonnage", I think it is minimum 2 working days.

Végül úgy döntöttem, mivel utálom a bogarakat, nem hímzem ki, lecseréltem egy pillangóra. Kedvesebb látvány :)

Finally I decided I don't stitch the bug - I hate bugs. Chose a butterfly which is more beautiful :)

Hú, de rég írtam már... Sajnos nem sokminden van, amit mutathatnék.

De egy azért mégis. Picit haladtam ismét ezzel a mintával, legközelebb már készen mutatom :) Remélem, legkésőbb júliusban.

I have written more than 2 weeks ago... sorry, I don't have much things to show... only this one. I have been working on this piece only (except the dyeings, of course). Next time I will show it finished I hope, at least in July!

Kezdjük hímzésekkel!

Mindjárt a Jardin Privé SAL-lal, amibe a hétvégén böködtem annyit, hogy le ne maradjak... De lemaradtam így is. De nem baj, azért a nyáron kész lesz ám :)

Ezt a mintát már kihímeztem, sőt, ugyanezzel a színemmel, és ugyanígy fejeztem be. De másnak is megtetszett, kérésére elkészítettem hát.

I've stitched once this design, and used same color of mine, and finished the same way. Somebody else fell in love too, so by her request, I made it again.

Egy ideje akartam már írni a kézzel festés mibenlétéről (nem tutorialt), és most meg is tettem, itt olvasható, hogy miért is szépek a kézzel festett fonalak, és bár ugyanazon szín több motringja festésről festésre eltér a nagy márkáknál is (nem, nem csak én vagyok ilyen "béna" :D), szerintem épp ez adja a szépségüket. Nem írom ide le megint :)

I have been thinking about write a post about "hand dyed" means, so I did it, please read here. That post is not a tutorial about 'how to dye', just show you even the skeins can be different dyeing by dyeing, this is the beauty of hand dyed threads. I won't write here it too :)

Még egy dolog: a napokban nekiállok lenvásznak festésének, 28, 32, 36 és 40ct, Zweigart, ahogy eddig is. Ha valakinek van "kívánságszíne", mélben megoszthatja velem, és minden tőlem telhetőt megteszek, hogy olyat alkossak, amilyet kértek. Lehet kérni korábbi színeket is, illetve még nem festetteket. Kérem, hogy csak az kérjen, aki venni is szándékozik, csak azért, hogy legyen, nem festek olyan színt, ami nem lesz kelendő.

Last thing: I'm going to dye linens next few days, I will dye 28, 32, 26 and 40ct, as always. If anybody has a "wished color" what would like to buy, please write me in email. I will try to do my best to create that color. Ask you to write me if you will purchase, not just wish, I will dye those colors which are popular and can sold :) Thank you!
